Sarah Cronin, LCSW, owner of Rooted Path Counseling, PLLC is a Connecticut and New Jersey-based licensed therapist with extensive experience treating individuals experiencing eating disorders and disordered eating, life transitions and changes, as well as supporting adolescents, young adults, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, and strained relationships.
Sarah received her Master of Social Work degree from Smith College School for Social Work, and has over ten years of experience treating eating disorders. Sarah has worked in various levels of care including residential treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and therapeutic day school settings. Throughout her career, she has been deeply committed to creating a therapeutic space where clients feel safe, understood, and respected.
Sarah believes healing begins with feeling grounded and supported. Her approach to therapy is collaborative, trauma-informed, and integrative, drawing from a range of evidence-based modalities to meet each client’s unique needs. She places strong emphasis on building a genuine therapeutic relationship, as she believes meaningful change happens within the context of trust, curiosity, and compassion.
At Rooted Path Counseling, Sarah strives to help clients better understand their experiences, reconnect with their inner strengths, and develop tools to move forward with greater clarity and confidence. She honors each person’s history and recognizes that growth is not linear—healing takes time, patience, and care. Her role is not to “fix,” but to walk alongside you as you explore your patterns, build resilience, and create a path forward that feels authentic and sustainable.
